The short version

Life in Colours is a quiet, personal space. Use it kindly, keep your account to yourself, and everything you record remains yours. The service is young and still growing, so some things will change — but our commitments to your privacy will not.

Who we are

Life in Colours (lifeincolours.app) is an independent product. Questions about these terms: hello@lifeincolours.app.

The service

Life in Colours lets you map your life as weeks and record glimmers — small moments of joy — with notes, colours, and photos. The product is in active development: features may be added, changed, or removed as it matures. Where a change affects your data, the Privacy Policy governs how it is handled.

Your account

You need an account to use the app. Keep your credentials to yourself, give us accurate details, and let us know if you believe someone else has accessed your account. You must be at least 16 to use Life in Colours.

Your content

Everything you record — glimmers, colours, notes, photos — belongs to you. You grant us only the licence we need to store and display that content back to you (and to anyone you deliberately share it with). We claim no other rights to it, and we never use it for advertising or to train anything.

You are responsible for what you upload: only add content you have the right to use, and nothing unlawful.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break into the service, access other people’s data, disrupt the infrastructure, or use the app for anything unlawful. That is the whole list — this is a contemplative product, and we intend to keep it that way.

Connected services

Optional integrations — such as signing in with Google or connecting Google Photos — are also governed by those providers’ own terms. You can disconnect them at any time, and how we handle the data they share with us is described in the Privacy Policy.

Leaving, and being asked to leave

You can stop using Life in Colours at any time and ask us to delete your account and everything in it. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms — though we will always prefer a conversation first. If we ever discontinue the service, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to take your data with you.

Disclaimers

Life in Colours is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer law of the place you live.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in any meaningful way, we will update this page and the date at the top, and flag significant changes in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
